ABOUT US
What is PPVMA?
The Purdue Pre-Veterinary Medical Association is a student organization for undergraduates who are interested in careers in the field of veterinary medicine. The organization exists solely for our members to learn about the veterinary school admission process, gain experiences needed to create a strong applicant, provide information about the many concentrations and specialties available in the field of veterinary medicine, and much more.

What Do We Do?
We are a professional organization, but we're not all business. Many activities and events help bring together our members through their common interest of veterinary medicine. We are involved in the community through volunteer work at shelters and humane societies to help improve quality of life of our local animals. We also help members find work experience in clinics, hospitals, laboratories, etc. The Purdue Pre-Veterinary Association is closely involved with the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, which aids in furthering student's education in current practices of veterinary medicine.

When are PPVMA Meetings?
Meetings are held every other Tuesday throughout the academic year, each with an educational aspect, including speakers, activities, presentations, and more. We also work to turn our members into better applicants by developing skills such as public speaking, interviewing, networking, As a member, you will automatically gain membership to the American Pre-Veterinary Medical Association (APVMA) and will have the opportunity to attend the annual national symposium with PPVMA. The symposium brings together pre-veterinary students from across the nation for lectures, wet labs, vendors, and social activities.
Who Can Join?
PPVMA is a place for students to meet new people with common interests, to make themselves into strong potential applicants, and to have fun while building a strong understanding for their future in the field of veterinary medicine. New programs and more opportunities are just some of the new features of the organization. All students interested are welcome to be members no matter how certain they are about their future in veterinary medicine.
